Birds are fond of weather station rain gauges. They are

mounted in high locations, and are ideal for nesting. To protect

your rain gauge from bird damage, install the easy to mount

rain gauge spike kit from Ambient Weather.

Designed not to hurt the birds, the spikes provide a barrier to

make it more dicult for birds to land on top of the rain gauge.

Compatible with the Davis VantagePro, VantagePro2, Weather

Monitor II, Weather Wizard III and Rainwise Weather

Stations.

Instructions

1.Use gloves to install the bird spike kit to avoid injury.

2.Wrap the pre-sized bird spike and adjustable band

around the top of the rain gauge, as shown in Figure 1.

3.Tighten the adjustable band around the rain gauge until

secure.

4.Bend the bird spike strips up as shown in Figure 1 to

prevent birds from landing on the rain gauge.
