Installation Instructions
Introduction
A qualified engineer must connect refrigerator in
accordance with these installation instructions.
Measure door opening and depth and width of refrigerator.
Remove handles or doors as required. Engineer must
follow local water and electrical company connection
regulations.
Service to, or replacement of, power cord must be
performed by a qualified servicer.
Proper installation will ensure that this refrigerator
operates most efficiently. Amana Appliances, Inc. cannot
be responsible for improper installation.
Installation Requirements
1. Install on an earthed outlet with a separate 230 V, 50
Hz., 10A circuit.
2. Protect soft flooring with cardboard or rugs.
3. Install on a floor which supports up to 429 kg.
1. Remove doors if necessary.

2. Plug in power cord.
• This equipment, including power cord, must be
serviced only by qualified service personnel.
Special tools are required to service equipment.
Contact nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair or adjustment.
3. Move refrigerator into final location.
a. Remove top hinge cover. Remove top hinge.
Remove and retain all shims.
b. Remove fresh food door.
c. Remove and retain all shims. Remove center
hinge pin.
d. Remove freezer door. An internal support rod
may slide out. Replace rod before hanging door.
e. Remove center hinge bracket.
f. Remove toe grille.
CAUTION
!
To avoid property damage, protect soft vinyl or other
flooring with cardboard, rugs, or other protective
material when moving refrigerator.
g. Slide appliance cart under side of refrigerator.
Wrap refrigerator with blanket or pad. Thread cart
strap around refrigerator and tighten. Do not
overtighten strap. Move refrigerator in front of
final location.
h. Reverse doors if necessary.
• Replace internal support rod in hinge side of
freezer door before hanging door.
• Reverse door stops.

• Exchange hinge pin from bottom hinge assembly
with outward hinge plug from opposite bottom
hinge assembly.
i. Rehang doors by reversing steps a–f.
• Space door 18 mm from cabinet.
• Handle side of door should be approximately
3 mm higher than hinge side.
4. Level refrigerator.
a. Remove toe grille.
b. Turn roller adjustment screws right to raise
cabinet, and left to lower cabinet.
c. Turn roller adjustment screw to raise or
lower front of refrigerator.
d. Adjust stabilizing leg to support
refrigerator firmly against floor.
CAUTION
!
To avoid personal injury or property damage caused
by refrigerator tipping, stabilizing leg must be firmly
against floor.
