INTRODUCTION
Your Telephone is designed to give you exibility in use, and high
quality performance. To get the most from your new telephone, we
suggest that you take a few minutes right now to read through this
instruction manual.
If you have any questions or problems, consult the Troubleshooting
Tips for the solution.
PAPTS CHECKLIST
Your package should contain the following items:
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
MODULAR JACK REQUIREMENTS
You need an RJ11C type modular jack, which is
the most common type of phone jack and might
look like the one pictured here. If you don’t have
a modular jack, call your local phone company
to î‚¿nd out how to get one installed.
INSTALLING THE PHONE
Your telephone should be placed on a level surface such as a desk top,
or you can mount it on a wall , A desktop /wall mounting pedestal is built
into the base of the phone.
Connect the telephone line cord to a modular telephone jack.
Slide the RINGER switch (on the handset ) to Low or High.
Set PULSE/ TONE switch (on the handset ) to TONE for touch-tone
service, or set it to PULSE for rotary service. If you don’t know which
type of service you have, check with the phone company.

WALL MOUNT INSTALLATION
Your telephone may also be mounted on a wall plate (not included).
Slip the mounting holes (on the bottom
of the base) over the wall plate posts and
î‚¿rmly slide the unit down into place.
Plug the telephone line cord into a
modular wall phone jack.

USING THE TELEPHONE FEATURES
RECEIVING A PHONE CALL
Be sure the RINGER switch is set to Hi ( ) or Lo ( ) position.
When the phone rings. lift the handset and begin your conversation.
After 5 sec, a talk timer will be displayed.
Slide the RINGER switch to the O ( ) position when you do not want
to be interrupted by the phone ringing.

RINGER VOLUME
You may control the ringer volume level with the switch located on the
right side of the handset.
= ringer tone will be loud.
= ringer tone will be low.
= telephone will not ring.
PLACING A PHONE CALL
1. Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.
2. Dial the telephone number you wish to call,
while the LCD displays ‘Ξ’.
3. After 5 sec, a talk timer will be displayed.
TEMPORARY TONE FEATURE
If you have Pulse ( rotary ) service and want to access
customer calling services that require touch –tone
dialing ,such as getting information from a local bank
,you can use this feature.
Press the TONE button ( * ) after you have connected
to the service in order to enable touch –tone dialing.
When you hang up, the phone automatically returns
to Pulse dialing mode.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

additional phones are used at the same time.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To keep your phone working and looking good ,follow these guidelines;
Avoid putting near heating appliances and devices that generate
electrical noise (for example , motors and uorescent lamps)
DO NOT expose to direct sunlight or moisture.
Avoid dropping and other rough treatment of the unit.
Never use a strong cleaning agent or abrasive powder because this
will damage the î‚¿nish.
Retain the original package in case you need to ship it at a later date.

current environmental protection regulations. You should
return it to your reseller or dispose of it in an approved

REDIAL BUTTON
This unit redials up to 32 digits. To
automatically redial the last number You
called:
1. Pick up the handset to get a dial tone.
2. Press redial.
3. LCD shows the phone number you dialed.
MEMORY
Each of the memory buttons is capable of storing phone numbers that
are up to 32 digits. Memory locations 0-9 require you to press MEM
for access.
STORING A NUMBER IN MEMORY
1. Pick up the handset.
2. Press ths STORE button.
3. Dial the number to be stored (up to 32 digits),
LCD show the phone number.
4. Press STORE again.
5. Press a memory location button(0-9)
6. Record the telephone number you want to store.
7. Hang up the handset.
DIALING A NUMBER FROM MEMORY
You can dial numbers from memory when using the handset. When you
get a dial tone, press the MEM button followed by the memory location
(0-9) for the number you want to dial.
INSERTING A P AUSE IN THE DIALING SEQUENCE
Use the REDIAL button to add pauses to a dialing sequence, for example
after you dial 9 for an outside line.

REQUISITOS DE TOMA MODULAR
Para utilizar este teléfono, necesitará tener
instalado en su hogar un toma de teléfonos
modular tipo RJ11C, que puede verse similar al
de la gura. Si no posee un toma de teléfonos
modular, comuníquese con su empresa de
teléfonos local para averiguar cómo instalar uno.
INSTALAR EL TELÉFONO
Deberá colocar su teléfono sobre una supercie nivelada, tal como un
escritorio o una mesada o puede colocarlo en la pared El teléfono tiene
una base de instalación para pared / escritorio incorporada en su parte
inferior.
1. Conecte el cable de línea telefónica en el toma de teléfonos modular.
2. Deslice el interruptor RINGER (en el microteléfono) hasta la posición
LOW (bajo) o HIGH (alto).
3. Coloque el interruptor PULSE/ TONE (en el microteléfono) en la posición
TONE para el servicio digital o en PULSE para el servicio rotativo. Si no
conoce el tipo de servicio que posee, verifíquelo con su empresa de
teléfonos local.
INSTALAR EL TELÉFONO EN LA PARED
También puede instalar su teléfono en una placa para pared (no incluida).
1. Deslice los orificios para colgar (en la parte
inferior de la base) sobre los ganchos de la
placa de pared y deslice la unidad hacia abajo
hasta que encastre por completo.
2. Enchufe el cable de línea telefónica en el toma
de teléfonos modular de la pared.
Asegúrese de que el interruptor de timbre (RINGER) está en la posición
HI ( ) o LO ( ).
Cuando suene el teléfono, tome el microteléfono y comience la
conversación.

VOLUMEN DEL TIMBRE

Si posee servicio por pulsos (rotativo) y desea acceder a

local, deberá utilizar esta función.
Pulse el botón TONE (*) después de haberse comunicado
con el servicio deseado para habilitar el marcado por
tonos.
Cuando cuelgue el teléfono, el teléfono regresará
automáticamente al modo de marcado por pulsos.

que generen ruido eléctrico (por ejemplo, motores y lámparas
uorescentes).
NO exponga la unidad a luz solar directa ni a humedad.
Evite arrojar la unidad o cualquier otro tratamiento brusco.
NO utilice fuertes agentes de limpieza ni polvos abrasivos para
limpiar la unidad p2-ya que esto podría dañar el acabado.
Guarde el embalaje original en caso de que necesite transportar la
unidad en el futuro.

MEMORIA
Cada botón de memoria puede guardar números de teléfono de hasta
32 dígitos. Las ubicaciones de la memoria 0-9 requieren que pulse el
botón MEM para acceder.
GUARDAR UN NÚMERO EN LA MEMORIA
1. Tome el microteléfono.
2. Pulse el botón STORE.
3.Marque el número que desea guardar (hasta 32 dígitos). 1234567890
El visor LCD mostrará el número.
4. Pulse el botón STORE nuevamente.
5. Pulse el botón de la ubicación de la memoria (0-9)
6. Grabe el número de teléfono que desea guardar.
7. Cuelgue el microteléfono.
MARCAR UN NÚMERO DESDE LA MEMORIA
Puede marcar números desde la memoria utilizando el microteléfono.
Cuando obtenga tono de marcado, pulse el botón MEM seguido de la
ubicación en la memoria (0-9) para el número que desea marcar.
INSERTAR UNA PAUSA EN LA SECUENCIA
DE MARCADO
Utilice el botón REDIAL para agregar pauses en la secuencia de marcado,
por ejemplo, después de 9 para obtener línea externa.
No se puede marcar Asegúrese de que el interruptor TONE/PULSE se
encuentre en la posición correcta.
