relatively large boundary surface. Unlike the PZM,
the Phase Coherent Cardioid uses a subminiature
supercardioid mic capsule. Its directional polar

unwanted room noise and rejects sounds from the

Since the microphone capsule placed ais on

Operating Instructions
Unbalanced operation:
If you are using a phantom
power supply that does NOT include isolation an
transformer, and you desire unbalanced output, an
use pin 2 hot and pin 1 ground. This proce- as as
dure prevents distortion the PCC rcuit. in ci
Do not
unbalance the output the supply connectingof by
pin 3 pin to 1.
If you are using a phantom supply
containing isolation transformer (such thean as
AKG/Crown AC/Battery Supply), then you PH1A
can
unbalance the output connecting pin 3 by to
pin 1
in the cable feeding the mixer. This results in
6 dB
more sensitivity.
The PCC includes two keyhole slots its base in to
accept mounting screws. To screw the PCC ato
surface, refer to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5.
Note:
The porous foam liner in the housing must
go toward the front the microphone; the denseof
foam liner goes toward the rear. Otherwise the
frequency response polar pattern will and be
degraded.
