SBX-CON1

The SBX-CON1 is a steel conduit box for Aiphone surface-mounted door stations. It provides a surface

to mount stations that are normally mounted directly to the wall. The SBX-CON1 features numerous

attachment holes on the back for installation on a variety of gang boxes and surfaces, as well as templates

to drill additional holes for door stations that require them.

Mounting

1. Use the pre-drilled mounting holes on the back plate to attach it

to the customer supplied gang box. If attached directly to the wall

without a gang box, appropriate anchors must be used.

2. If the door station requires it, use the appropriate provided

template to drill the mounting holes in the front box.

3. If a conduit cable will be used, remove the plastic plug at the

bottom right of the SBX-CON1 prior to attaching the front plate.

Attach the conduit connector and conduit to the box, and route the

wires through the conduit into the box and out the hole at the front

of the box. Otherwise, leave the plug in place.

4. Attach the box to the back plate using the tab at the bottom and

the #8 self-tapping screw at the top.

5. Make the wiring connections to the door station. Use the

provided self-tapping screws to mount the door station to the

SBX-CON1.
