Welcome to the Octamizer DLX, the next evolution of Aguilar’s iconic bass octave

pedal. If you’ve used an Octamizer before, you’ll feel right at home. If this is your first

time, you’re about to discover why this pedal has lived on bass pedalboards for over a

decade. The Octamizer DLX keeps everything players loved about the original musical

feel, strong low end, reliable tracking and expands it with new voices, deeper control,

and flexible footswitching that opens up entirely new creative space.

Plug it in, trust your ears, and let’s get started.

Quick Start

1. Connect your bass to the INPUT jack.

2. Connect the OUTPUT to your amp, DI, or interface.

3. Power the pedal with a standard 9V DC 500mA power supply (center-negative).

4. Start with all volumes at noon, filters at noon, and the clean signal engaged.

5. Step on the ENGAGE footswitch and play.

If it sounds huge right away, you’re doing it right.

Signal Path Overview

The Octamizer DLX gives you three independent voices:

Clean

Octave Down

Octave Up

The center ENGAGE footswitch functions as the main on/off control, while the left and

right switches bring the octave voices in and out. Any voice can be used on its own or

stacked together in real time, without reaching down to adjust controls.

The Octamizer DLX is designed to be played in the moment, making it as much a

performance tool as it is an effect.

Controls — Top Panel

Octave Down Section

Down Volume - Controls the level of the octave-down signal.

Down Filter - Shapes the character of the octave-down tone.

•Turning counterclockwise delivers smooth, round, classic octave tones.

•Turning clockwise adds bite, edge, and a more synth-forward character.
